Tibetan peace garden

We Human beings are passing through a crucial period in our development. Conflict & mistrust have plagued the past century, which has brought immesurable human suffering & environmental destruction. It is in the interest of all of us on this planet that we make a joint effort to turn the next century into an era of peace & harmony.
May this PEACE GARDEN become a monument to the courage of the tibetan people & their commitment to peace. May it remain as a symbol to remind us that human survival depends on living in harmony & on always choosing the path of non-violence in resolving our differences.
The XIV Dalai Lama of Tibet.

Well, it may not be the most inspired message ever, but it's a good, simple, honest, usefull urge for peace, love, understanding and tolerance!
Problem is, the beggining of our new century, insofar, has been everything but an auspicious one - to say the least! - in what concerns peace, love, understanding or tollerance!
Even worse is my guess (and I think it doesn't take a genious to guess this) that this message will be even more urgent in 10, 20, maybe 50 years - that is assuming that there will still be someone with good sense on this planet to whom the message may be directed at!!
And by the way... it got me wondering; why on earth was the peace garden built precisely next to the huge and somewhat oppressive Imperial WAR Museum!!?? Maybe that's the whole point... but still I wonder!

(notes from London - cheers)
